Master Degree in Administration

  

The graduates of this Professional Master Degree in Administration have the same prerogatives as the master's degree graduate of the academic modality. 
The Master's Degree in Administration course was the first in the West of Santa Catarina, Southwest of Paraná and Northwest of Rio Grande do Sul. Due to its theoretical and practical nature, it allows graduates to broaden their conceptual horizon and their baggage of tools to deal with an increasingly complex and demanding environment, that is, aligning theory and practice. It is directly linked to the organizational context and regional development and it seeks, through scientific studies, to apply new management concepts and technologies focused on innovation.

General Objective:
Develop and disseminate in - depth knowledge, management practices and strategies to help increase the competitiveness and sustainability of organizations, serving social and professional demands aimed at sustainable development.

Specific objectives:

A) Carry out scientific research that allows understanding and intervening in the organizational reality for the development of the territories in which it is inserted;

B) Disseminate knowledge that contributes to the continuous improvement of the management of organizations;

C) Develop studies for the development of the competitiveness and sustainability of agribusiness and other sectors of the productive base;

D) Use continuous and systematic interaction with public, private and third sector organizations as a teaching-learning strategy;

E) Qualify professionals to analyze organizations and their relationships, and propose solutions relevant to the contextual reality;

F) Enable professionals to identify and use scientific knowledge and management research in their daily lives.

Sustainability and Agribusiness

The area of concentration Sustainability and Agribusiness promotes studies regarding sustainability in its dimensions: economic, environmental and social. This area of concentration is focused on identifying, analyzing and exploring the factors of competitiveness and sustainability of territories and organizations, especially those related to the agribusiness sector. Considering sustainability as a condition for the implementation and consolidation of enterprises, this prerogative is assumed, which should permeate, in an interdisciplinary way, the research and intervention of the Professional Master's Degree. The area is divided into two lines that complement each other, one focusing on the Sustainability of Organizations and another focused on the Competitiveness of Agribusiness.

Sustainability in Organizations:
This line involves studies on the sustainability of public and private organizations and their interfaces with the local context in the economic, social and environmental dimensions. It investigates elements, spaces and preferential themes, such as: organizational competitiveness, entrepreneurship, territorial governance, regional development, learning and organizational knowledge, competitive strategy, processes and systems of organizational management and social management. The different sustainability needed for organizational and territorial development will be central to the approach of this line, whether for research, technical work or even social intervention.

Agribusiness Competitiveness:
This line studies agribusiness competitiveness factors, considering the actors involved, the management processes, the dynamics of markets, innovation and sustainability. It investigates the characterization of the productive structures and the technologies used for competitiveness, especially in the study of the productive systems of agribusiness and family agriculture, productive chains, the management of agricultural enterprises and the interconnections underlying these dynamics.
